  • LaurDIY the blogger found a DIY-able fashion trend that is now seen in TikTok.
  • Turn your plain shirt into a dazzling bleached washed and some fun transformations.

Are you a fan of “Do It Yourself” artworks? Or are you fond of posting some TikTok videos? Then why not both? If you do love craftworks and TikTok, this article is for you. The video blog was posted by Lauren, a Canadian blogger who aspires to create a lot of DIYs including hauls, decors, clothing try-ons and life hacks.

The time Lauren decided to craft a DIY fashion that became rampant on TikTok.

For this segment, Lauren decided to craft a DIY fashion that became rampant on TikTok. First, she tried to turn a plain, old, dark shirt to a bleach tie-dyed. Lauren started by wetting the shirt a little bit. She used a ketchup bottle which she bought from a local store. After sprinkling a meagre amount of water to the shirt, she crumpled the whole shirt up and attached elastic bands and did these without any thought for a pattern in her mind. You can tie the shirt in spirals but in this case, Lauren prefers it to be more random.

Customizing her shirts.

Bleach quickly removes pigment from black shirts and that opportunity was used to turn the bleached part into an orangey color. She filled her water bottle with half of bleach and half of water and began covering the front and back of the shirt with the bleach dye. After just a few moments, the shirt is now ready to be revealed. Just have a little wash and the shirt is good to go.

The sweatpants and the hoodie project “split sweat pant” or a “split hoodie”

Next on her list were the hoodies and sweatpants which she called “split sweat pant” or a “split hoodie” where the left and right pant leg didn’t have a match design.

LaurDIY chose plain black pants and camouflage printed pants for her fashion mission. She wanted to split both pants in half and then sew them together. Lauren turned the pants inside out and began cutting them in half. She noted to make sure that you do this right and sew the correct leg to the other.

The crucial part will be sewing the garter belt of the sweatpants because the cloth is much thicker. After setting the clothes with pins, she began sewing via machine and then cutting the excess fabric. This is a brave move and optimistically, the pants turned out to look nice.

she has (somehow) illegally printed out the word “Gucci” and cut the letters out leaving no white paper to avoid the transparent trim look.

Lastly, she got herself a pair of light shaded sweatpants. The lighter shade will be used for her iron-on transfer to enhance the graphic design.

On a transfer sheet next to her, she has (somehow) illegally printed out the word “Gucci” and cut the letters out leaving no white paper to avoid the transparent trim look.

After cutting out the characters, Lauren positioned them in the front part of the pants.

She then tested if the iron is hot and carefully iron each of the letters. She set the pants aside while waiting for the letters to cool down. When ready, she decided to gently pull the characters to show the word printed on her pants.

She recommended Amazon and Walmart as reference because of cheaper prices with soft quality garments.
